Inaccurate Label Brings Pasta Recall

A labeling mistake has resulted in the recall of a pasta product that's sold in 11 states including Ohio.

According to the Associated Press, Pierino Frozen Foods says 24-ounce packages of Jumbo Shells with Cheese are currently being recalled because the product contains eggs, which is not listed on the packaging.

The Michigan-based company says some people who have allergies to eggs run serious or life-threatening reactions if they eat the pasta.

So far, Pierino officials say they are aware of one confirmed reaction to the product as reported by a consumer.
