The Ohio Benefit Bank is a free service that simplifies the tax and benefit application process, making it easier – and faster – for individuals and families to access the programs they need to live healthy, secure lives.

Anyone with an adjusted gross income of less than $56,000 per year can use The Ohio Benefit Bank to file their taxes.

Eligible participants must bring:

Social Security Numbers for client and all dependents

W2’s, 1099’s, 1098’s

Information about other income (ex: interest income)

Deduction and credit information (ex: child care expenses, tuition bills, union dues)

A copy of last year’s tax return (if possible)
The Benefit Bank’s tax clinic is completely confidential and provides clients with free tax assistance from trained Benefit Bank counselors.
