You must attend one session on
both dates for 8 hours of training.
Volunteers are a crucial part of the hospice team.
They enhance the lives of patients and their families by providing companionship and support, such as sitting vigil beside a patient's bed so a family member can rest, or reading aloud to a patient. They also assist with clerical work, make crafts for patient trays and even weed gardens at the Hospice of VNS Care Center.
