Akron Street Closings for Parade on March 9th

The following Downtown Akron streets will be closed Saturday, March 9, from noon-1:30 p.m. for the St. Patrick's Day Parade:   
Main St. northbound between Bartges/Mill 
Main St. southbound between Mill/Cedar 
E. Exchange St. westbound between Broadway/Main
W. Exchange St. eastbound between Paul Williams/Main
Buchtel between High/Main
State St. between Bowery/High - access to the State St. parking deck maintained.
University between High/Main
Church between High/Main
Bowery between Center/Main

Some meters may be bagged along parade route.

On Sunday, March 17, Main Street will be closed between State and University streets all day for a holiday celebration at the Barley House.

Downtown Parking in city-owned decks, lots and meters is free all day on weekends and holidays, and after 6 p.m. on weekdays.  The first hour of parking in city-owned decks is always free.

Akron Centre Deck - 11 W. Mill St.
Broadway Deck - 126 S. Broadway
Cascade Deck - 10 W. Mill St.
City-Center Deck - 132 S. High St.
High/Market Deck - 40 S. High St.
Morley Deck - 177 S. High St.
Opportunity Park Deck - 666 S. Broadway

City-owned parking lots:
Canal Place Lot - 500 S. Main St.
High Street Lot - 71 S. High St.
Main/Bartges Lot - 599 S. Main St.
Main/Buchtel Lot - 219 S. Main St.
Opportunity Park Lot - 666 S. Broadway St.
Glendale Lot - 60 Glendale Ave.
