It Is Your "Right" To Be Counted







Who: All Ohio Residents who are currently Homeless

What: 2010 Census

Why: Over 400 billion dollars of federal funds a year come into Ohio each year that support
Homeless assistance programs, emergency and health services, local school lunch
programs, and housing programs. Without an accurate count, Ohio could lose some of these valuable dollars.

When: March 29, 2010 - March 31, 2010

How: Fill out a "Be Counted Form" located at one of these community locations:
  • Emergency and Transitional Shelters
  • Soup Kitchens/Food Pantry
  • Regularly Scheduled Mobile Food Vans
  • Library
  • Health Clinics and Hospitals
You will NOT be asked for your INCOME or SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

What information will be asked on the 2010 Census form?

Name, gender, age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, relationship and how long you have been without an address or have lived at a shelter address.
