Free Holiday Meals

The Haven of Rest Ministries - located at 175 E Market Street - will be serving its annual Christmas Day meals to homeless and needy individuals.

Those who may be spending the day alone are also welcome to come and enjoy the festive, traditional holiday meal that is served in a warm and comforting atmosphere.

More than 800 men, women and children are expected to arrive for the meal, and nearly one hundred volunteers will be on hand to help with preparing, serving and clean-up. Guests should arrive at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Christmas gift bags of personal care items will be distributed at both meals, and special gift bags have been prepared for the children.

For more than 66 years, Haven of Rest has served the needs of homeless and hurting people. Its doors are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Homeless and destitute men, women and children can receive meals, lodging, clothing and other services through Haven of Rest. There is never any charge for these services.
