Free Clinics

Open M's Summit County Free Clinic
New adult patients should call 330-434-0110 on December 2nd at 9:30 am. Children under 17 and under are seen the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 5 pm. No appointment is needed.

Barberton Community Clinic
Serves Barberton residents only. Call 330-745-7471. Patients are seen within a few days.

Low Cost Health Care

Access to Care
Matches patients with family doctors, specialists, testing facilities and hospitals who have donated their services. Call 330-315-0209 to apply. They enroll patients in 4-6 weeks.

AGMC Center for Family Medicine
Call 330-344-6047. Sees sick patients within a couple of days. Patients will need to enroll in hospital assistance program (CARE Program) to reduce their bill.

AGMC Internal Medicine Clinic
Call 330-344-6015. Scheduling new patients in 2-3 weeks. Patients will need to enroll in hospital assistance program (CARE Program) to reduce their bill.

Akron Community Health Resources
Sliding scale clinics for adults and children. Fees start at $20.00 per office visit and must be paid before seeing physician. Walk-ins are taken Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 5 pm and Saturdays from 7:30 am - 1 pm. Or call 330-724-5471 for an appointment.

Summa Family Medicine Center
Call 330-375-3584. Scheduling new patients for July 1st. Patients will need to enroll in hospital assistance program (CARE Assurance) to reduce their bill.

Veterans Outpatient Clinic

New patients must complete packet before scheduling. Pick up packets Mon, Tues, Thurs 8am - 5pm & Wed, Fri 10am - 5pm at Arlington Plaza Clinic. Fees based on sliding scale; minimum $40 fee per visit. Call 330-785-2044 for more information.

Call 330-375-6262 for an appointment. Provides dental care on sliding scale for uninsured patients.

Eye Care

Summa Ophthalmology Center
Call 330-375-4831. Fees based on sliding fee scale, age 18 and over.

Mental Health Services

Portage Path Behavioral Health
Call 330-253-3100. Provides a full range of mental health services. Sliding fee scale available to all Summit County residents.

Men's Health Care

Brother to Brother Project
Call 330-618-8327. Offers prostate cancer screening for $20 for men age 40+

On-In-Six Foundation
Call 330-620-3806. Offers free blood test prostate cancer screenings.

Prescription Assistance

MedAssist
Call 330-762-0609. Provides up to $75 worth of life-saving medication to uninsured, helps patients to apply to free medication programs and refers to discount prescription programs.

Substance Abuse Services

ADM Crisis Center
Call 330-996-7730. Provides intake for full range of substance abuse treatment services through 30 partnering agencies.

Woman's Health Care

Pink Ribbon Project
Call 330-926-5750. Provides pap smears and breast exams free to eligible women.

Planned Parenthood
