You are needed as a volunteer for the 7th annual Road Runner Akron Marathon on Saturday, September 26. Each year since 2003 the Road Runner Akron Marathon has hosted an international, world-class marathon, half marathon and team relay race the last Saturday in September.We have made it our mission to promote health and fitness and bring national attention to the greater Akron area. Volunteers are a valuable resource for this event.
As a volunteer for the Road Runner Akron Marathon, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to your community, to meet new people and to share your skills and talents. The truth is that it’s the volunteers who make the race such a wonderful experience for the runners!
We are looking for groups, as well as individuals, to volunteer on either Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Health & Fitness Expo, or on race day, Saturday, September 26, 2009. Opportunities to volunteer on race day include: course support, finish line and Kids Fun Run.

All volunteers are encouraged to attend one of the following volunteer trainings: Saturday, September 12th, 10:00 a.m., Lock 3 or Wednesday, September 16th, 6:30 p.m., Lock 3.
