Relay For Life kickoff event Jan. 31
The Cuyahoga Falls Relay For Life committee is celebrating its 10th year on June 6 and 7, 2009 at Laybourne Field behind Bolich Middle School. To mark the event's 10th year, the committee will host its annual kick-off on Jan. 31, 2009, at St. Luke's Church in conjunction with St. Luke's annual chili cookoff. The community is invited to attend the chili cookoff, taste great chili, vote on a winner and learn more about Relay for Life - Cuyahoga Falls. If you have a great chili recipe and would like to join the committee at the chili cookoff, contact Sony Gilroy at 330-929-5334. Prizes will be awarded to the winning chili recipes, including a people's choice award. The committee is closing in on the $1 million mark for total money raised by the Cuyahoga Falls Relay event and hopes to reach the goal this year.
Relay for Life, Cuyahoga Falls committee members would like to invite everyone interested in the 2009 Relay event to attend the kickoff on Jan. 31, 2009 at St. Luke's Church starting at 5 p.m. The committee will have all the information available that day for anyone interested in forming a team, joining the committee or just curious about Relay For Life.
